White Gables is owned in a family partnership by Mr Arthur Nix (RGN, RCNT), Mrs Joan Nix (SRN, SCM, HV (Cert) Leeds, Mrs Newton (RGN, ENHM), Mrs Andrea Hughes (RGN, HV Bsc Hons), all of whom are registered nurses with over 40 years experience in all aspects of nursing now specialising in the care of the elderly. They are assisted by a professionally trained team of staff dedicated to a high quality nursing care. LocationWhite Gables is the perfect residence where the elderly relax and enjoy life to the full in the homely and peaceful atmosphere of our bungalow home. We are situated at Willington Road which is close to the centre of Kirton, with all the amenities of a thriving village. There is a range of shops, Post Office, bank, and library all within a 200 yard leisurely stroll from White Gables. Our clients take full advantage of summer days in the garden patio area with its water fountain and sun lounge. The home encourages visitors and provides car parking facilities. Personal ComfortsWhite Gables provides a homely environment which is achieved by keeping the size of the home to one where we can have continual contact between the number of residents and compliment of staff. Each client has assigned to them a personal care staff member who pays particular attention to the clients specific needs and acts when required as the clients confidante. Each resident is encouraged to bring with them items of a personal nature and some small items of furniture can be accommodated to provide the homely touch. AccommodationWhite Gables offers spacious accommodation with 14 single rooms and 3 companion suites which have either ensuite facilities or vanity units. As the home is on one level this provides easy access to the whole of the building and communal areas. There are bathrooms and numerous toilets conveniently situated throughout the home. The bathrooms have the latest convenience aids to assist the clients and carers. Our three lounges provide the residents with comfortable relaxation in a tranquil and homely atmosphere. For our clients safety all rooms are fitted with Nurse Call alarms and fire detection equipment. Provisions have been made for own TV in all bedrooms (if required), and telephones may be connected by arrangement with BT.
